Sport and Recreation

If you used to play a sport, you can most likely take it up again, or learn other sports. Sport has many benefits for amputees. Apart from improving your whole body tone, giving you a better sense of balance and helping you keep your weight down, playing sport gives you confidence - it really is worth the effort. Even if you are not the athletic type, you can still take up some of the less demanding sports such as golf, ten-pin bowling, table tennis, outdoor or indoor bowls, snooker, petanque, croquet etc.
