What is it?

What is Phantom Limb?

After the operation, you will almost certainly feel that your amputated arm or leg is still there. This is called a phantom limb. To some amputees, their phantom leg is so real that they try to stand on it. This usually happens once only!

The sensation of a phantom limb is natural and nothing at all to worry about. In fact, it is generally considered a sign that the wound is doing well.
